The Council act as agents for the following grant making trusts:

CHARLOTTE F. SHAW TRUST

This trust was setup under the Will of Mrs. C. F. Shaw. She provided funds for 'the bringing of masterpieces of Fine Art within the reach of Irish People of all classes.' She defined the masterpieces of fine art as "works of the highest class in the field of orchestral and classical music, painting, sculpture, fine printing and literature."

Literature Appreciation Lectures to include Poetry Readings
Social Arts to include Public Speaking
